Steve Herman has been an active amateur (ham) radio operator for several decades and holds the call signs W7VOA in the United States, A52SW in Bhutan, VU3USJ in India, S21VOA in Bangladesh, T6AD in Afghanistan, T88SH in Palau, 7J1AIL in Japan and 9N7VOA in Nepal.
Steve helped introduce the Internet Radio Linking Project in Asia when Node 8200 became QRV and was President of the Tokyo International Amateur Radio Association 2003-2006.
